That’s a fair question.
Too often we see things in our life that just don’t matter to us. Life is busy and the demands on our time and our mind are numerous. Then again, there are those things don’t seem to matter because we’ve just not given consideration to them. Until it sneaks up on you or someone you know or love….leukemia is one of those things.
It’s very likely that, during this lifetime, someone you know and for whom you care very deeply will be afflicted with leukemia. If that someone happens to be a small child, current medical technology is advanced to a point that they can probably be cured. That fact, in and of itself, provides great encouragement to the efforts of When Everyone Survives. If the ability to cure leukemia in any portion of the population can be found, then, statistically, it should be only a matter of time before all of the population can be cured.
Great strides have been made over the last thirty years in the treatment and cure of leukemia patients. Thirty years ago, doctors lost virtually 100% of patients diagnosed with leukemia. Today, three decades later, half, a full 50%, of their patients survive.
You matter because you’ve already shown that you care by accessing the WES Foundation website. Learning more about the disease, how it affects the patients, their lives, their families, those that they love and those that love them is the first step to helping us find the cure that, to date, has eluded researchers.
The When Everyone Survives Foundation can only be successful through the financial involvement of people like you. The ultimate success of this humanitarian effort resides in the ability of the foundation to provide sufficient funds to the most effective research that will find that cure or cures that alleviates the concern of When Everyone Survives. To that end, you matter a great deal.
